Design process

Wild Wood Carpentry is a carpentry and woodworking company from Vaughan, Ontario. It is owned by the magnetic carpenter Anthony Tollis and he wanted a brand that showed his personality through and through.

Working with Anthony was a pleasure, he had his creativity and vision on fire throughout this project and it made it feel like such a collaboration to develop this for him.

Anthony asked for an aggressive elephant illustration with wooden tusks and nail sticking out. I wanted to help get this cartoony brand out there while still remaining clean and readable. In an effort to do this I created both the illustration and the wordmark for his company so he can show both his creative fun side and his more buttoned-up business side.

The wordmark was designed to be easily printed and scanned/copied for invoices and receipts, as well as easily scalable.
